Some of these answers crack me up LOL
You do NOT need a "telephone line" to have broadband. You can have DSL broadband without having use of a "telephone" line it%26#39;s called a DATA LINE. Where you can have DSL broadband through the land line going into your home. People who no longer find a need for having a home phone get them all the time, through their local phone companies. I have worked in the Telecoms industry for many years both cable and land line, I professionally and personally prefer DSL over cable for a few reason, which I won%26#39;t get into. I am just trying to give you a correct answer to your question :) yes Hi,

Annoyingly yes, i rarely use the phone yet have to pay the bill for it just so i can have boradband as they share the same line, its just about getting extra money out of people. Yes. There are some very cheap deals out there. Assuming you are in the UK, Talk Talk do a good deal: £10.50 a month line rental + £9.99 a month for free broadband and unlimited anytime geographical calls in the UK and abroad.
In fact, I think they may have downgraded this offer to £10.50 a month line rental and £5.89 for unlimited evening and weekend geographical calls in the UK and abroad.
Hope this helps! If your in the U.K. try now.com, they do a wireless service no land-line required. They used to anyhow.
