if you can not get phone or internet from the phone company, try the cable company.. if they can not help you, then your last 2 options are satellite (which can be expensive) for the internet, and a VoIP provider, or cellular...

sprint and verizon have the EV-DO network for broadband cellular internet.. (not as fast as DSL or cable modem, but much better then dial up)

cingular (the new at and t) has the EDGE network for broadband internet... however, the EV-DO technology is faster...

cellular internet costs about $50-70 depending on the plan, and if it is packaged with voice service..

EV-DO routers are available (i believe they cost about $200, so you can share your cellular internet with more then one computer.. get an air card from Verizon, Cingular or Sprint call the jerry springer 1800 number and ask steve to help u

Ok, the vonage website says I can choose a new area code and number. But when I put my area code in, my town doesnt come up on the list...does that mean that since my town isnt listed that I cant get it? Or can I get it, and then have a phone number from a different town that IS listed?? Can someone please tell me how this works. Much thanks

be very careful and find out about it, because they lie alot! and when you already sign up, they got you!! you can use any area code, or even virtual phone-numbers! That%26#39;s usually the first thing you have to do before signing up. You can pick any area code. No problem.

I need help with telephones and broadband?

At present,my bt master socket is in my hallway, i have to run two extention leads of it, one in the living room and one upstairs, here is where i have my filter plugged in for my broadband, but the lines are very crackly,can someone advise me. Would like to make it neater and less noiser.

as far as the noise you need to install a filter at each phone. and i would suggest getting a 5.8GHZ cordless phone especially if you have a wireless router that is 2.4GHZ Get a wireless router. I have a netgear one that is fantastic. Pop down to PC world and get some advice on the best one, but I really like the netgear. Go wireless. To be honest I use Virgin broadband and am surprised by the problems other users have. Hope you get the problem sorted soon.

. well i would tell him he can get a tracfone, prepaid phone at the walmart, for $15 dollars and minute packages starting at $21,, i have this phone and it gets awesome service and the phone is very durable well i would be good and respect your dad and do the right thing when time comes and just be responsible and maybe he will get you one talk to your dad that you need a phone, of course he will ask you why. tell him that you need it for communication means and also in case of emergency.
