Answer:

Simply answered, no. If no one answers on the other end, a call is not completed, therefor there is nothing to bill for.

Many competitive carriers offer partial minute billing, usually in 6 second increments. Ideally, you want a plan like this so in the event you connect for 1 second, you are not billed for a full minute. These type of plans also allow you to get closest to your contracted rate because you are being billed on a per second basis, rather than a per minute basis, so your usage is not being rounded up. I strayed from the question, but thought you might want to know. ofcourse, they still charge you too if your on the phone more than 15 seconds im pretty sure if the phone doesnt connect in other words u hang up before they answer then no the number wont show up on the bill No it will not show up unless the other part answered the phone. Just like using the pay phone if no answer it gives you your money back. no only if someone picks up or the answering machine pick up Unfortuantey they do and i hate it. they should do something about tht. some 1 should protest. :) No, if it rings continueously and no one answers then no charge should be made. If a answering machine picks it up then yes a charge will be made. If your long distance carrier charges for long distance even if no ne answers and no machhine picked up then it is time to change phone service.
