Just about to change my phone billing to Talk Talk instead of BT. Will this affect my BT broadband c

I am keeping the phone number and line rental with BT, its just the actual calls that will be routed through Talk Talk, and I should have asked them at the time but forgot, broadband isnt through a phone line so it wont cost me to %26#39;dial up%26#39; BT broadband from Talk Talk...will it?

Answer:

I use Talk Talk for my calls and line rental and BT for Broadband.

I had no problems when switching the service from BT and the Broadband was fine.

Broadband is a totally different service, dealt with by a separate part of the organisation from lines and rental.

You%26#39;ll be fine. Just don%26#39;t sign up for free Talk Talk broadband, I%26#39;ve nothing but bad news with their service. it shouldnt do but you really should call them the first chacne you get to make sure, its always better to be safe then sorry oh no.....my sister has had hell with talk talk, her broadband kept cutting off, she had nothing but trouble with it, thats not to say everyone does but beware. If she takes TalkTalk3 she will get free boadband for life. It only costs £8.99 a month with free calls to any 01 or 02 number. I think its a real bargain !! Although the speed may not be as fast as BT, I don;t know about that one. I believe that entire sense of switching to talk talk is their free broadband connection.

Check what your ordered! If you signed to have broadband with them, you will need a new router and new email addresses. (Talk talk should provide them). your staying with BT. .i am moving from them, nothing but problems with internet service, plus tech centre in india difficult to communicate.best of look. British Telecom own the whole infrastructure. They allow tt etc to use the excess portals. Be wary of seemingly cheaper rates. You will pay extra some how. I got nailed on my broadband usage. Then there was a strange amount at the end of each month which they could not explain. Try talking to a computer. Look at Ireland where Smart telecom gave really cheap rates and ended up owing Eircom millions of Euro and simply dumped their clients. The whole idea of tandem phone companies was to fill in the extra space and make the whole scene profitable. Really do some research chum. There are some greedy buggers waiting for the likes of me and you. Regards M
