I live in arizona, and am traveling to florida for 2 weeks. During that time, I will want to call my bf who lives in Ariozna. But my plan only lets me call 9pm-9am. When I am in florida will that mean 9 florida time, or 9 arizona time?
Answer:
Cell phones are considered to be on their home network no matter where you go. (unless you roam) Example, if I live in Florida and travel to California and make a local call in California, it is like I am in Florida making that call. My local calls would be to Florida in my home city. Therefore, you should be able to call back as a local call. you might want to check with your Cell provider to see if they will use Florida time or Arizona time though since the phone will get the time of the closest tower. The little elves in the phone are whispering the answer, just stick it in your ear and you will find the key! Usually, the time zone they are referring to is the time zone YOU are in. If he calls you, then it%26#39;s his time zone. Read your plan. It will tell you what time zone it is subject to. well, theres a solution to this- there is a device you can take with you (anywhere in North america) and it plugs into the phone jack, and your phone plugs into this device.
why do this? because these devices make it so you are calling from your home phone #! so your calls will come up on your bill as LOCAL calls! i have no idea how it works, you%26#39;ll have to look into it, but i know it works because my brother travels a lot and uses this! amazing, huh?
