I want to call someone but not talk to them just leave a message; is there a certain number-my brother has done it before...

With most voicemail landline systems, if YOU have voicemail, you can leave a private message for another person with voicemail, without ringing their phone. They must be local I believe. It does not work long distance. For those with answering machines, if there is no answer, and the announcement starts, press %26#39;*%26#39; (star) and it will go immediately to the answering system, skipping the message. Only if the person has set the machine to one (1) ring No. You can only do it using Voice Mail. Note: Voice Mail is NOT the same as an Answering Machine!
