My friend needs help with phone charges from TN to IL?

He is calling an old friend there and he wants to know how much that would be..His phone service is BellSouth so he needs help before he does it...

I dont think its too much. I live in IL, and I have Family in TN.(Kinda weird. :)) When we called there, its not too bad. We did keep it short though. I have an internet phone service now that doesnt charge by the minute or by the call. If hes going to be calling long distance alot I would Highly recommend it. Generally, you may look online or in the phone book for directions on the cost per minute. Of course, calling on weekends and in the evening is cheaper, no matter what. If he wants to really regulate his fees, buy a phone call at someplace like CVS or Walgreens. Then he will know exactly what the fee per minute is. 1.9 cents here all the time
