Good stand alone answering machines?

I%26#39;ve had the same answering machine for the past 20 years, which uses a tape. I%26#39;m sure there have been some advancements since then, but I don%26#39;t want to spend hours researching.

Are there any answering machines that let you download the messages to a computer or have any other advanced features? Which makes out there are the best? I don%26#39;t know where to begin looking.

- White Personally I prefer the answering service that your local telepone company provides. I have dealt with the answering machines, and the tapes and the buttons etc...I doubt if there is a simple one out there on the market today.ever try to buy a simple cell phone that makes a call and that is it..does not exist. Soooo me being the "keep it simple" kind of person...I have the electronic answering service provided by the telephone company...have had it for years and love it.
