Can someone help me with my house phone?

My house phone just stopped working all of a sudden. I have phone services through Time Warner Cable. My problem is that when I pick up my phone, there is no dial tone. I cannot make a phone call. And when someone tries to call me, all it does is ring to them but it doesn%26#39;t ring to my house. Can anyone help me out, PLEASE

I have had this happen to me. First you need to see if it is the phone or the phone line. Try plugging the same phone into another phone outlet. If the problem is still there then try plugging in a different phone or even changing the line going from the wall outlet to the phone. If it is a cordless phone be sure it is also plugged into an electrical outlet. Trial %26 error. If absolutely nothing works then notify your provider. Pay your bill...that is what my problem was call your service provider and they will fix it i had the same problem with my at%26t home phone but they fixed it is your phone plugged into the wiring in your home, or into the phone adapter or modem...

plug the phone directly into the phone adapter or modem, and check for dial tone... if you have no dial tone, check to make sure your like cords are good, and that the phone itself is not defective... if all seems in place call the cable company repair line..

your cable modem service must be active to get the phone service..

your phone must be plugged into the line 1 of the modem or phone adapter...
