What%26#39;s the best internet/phone service provider for a great price? We got rid of Verizon and switched to EarthLink. I have had nothing but problems with EarthLink since I%26#39;ve had it and I%26#39;m going to cancel because the service is terrible. Do you know of any companies that have great rates and service? I need to have home networking because of multiple computers.
Thanks.

if it is available in your area go cable...
cable modem is faster then DSL...and therfore much better for connecting multiple computers to a single connection, especiallay if you plan on doing bandwith intensive downloads, uploads, and streaming media...
cable VoIP is superior to all other flavors, as it doesnt really go out over the internet.. it is sent over the cable providers network, and the voice packets are given priority over the data packets... other VoIP providers can not make this claim.. as there voice packets are treated equally to the data packets, so if you are streaming a movie, or transfering a large file over the internet, the VoIP could have problems.. which is not the case with VoIP when it is provided by your internet provider *(this is true with VoIP provided by the phone company, when sent over there DSL lines) I have had Vonage for a couple years and have had no troubles with them. $25 for unlimited calling to US, UK, Ireland, France, Spain, and Italy, all features included, as well as great other international rates.
We also use Skype for PC to PC calls to talk to my family for free (since they are not in the "free" Vonage countries). www.netzero.com - internet service provider
www.vonage.com - phone service provider
