Echo on land line?

when my land line (not cordless, or cordless) makes a call..the receiving call heres an echo in its phone...why?

Answers:

sorry to tell you, but you gotta get a new phone!

The static indicates a ground cross, (physical rather than induced), and its worse during the day because there is more phone activity then. Is your problem??? have you tried a different phone? if it still echos you should call the phone company echo.. or a tin line sound on a phone is usuallay a really poor made phone, perhaps a jwon, or that fake panasonic brand... mabey a v-tech... you have had several techs out and they are finding nothing wrong on your line... i am sure they have already told you what no one wants to believe... it is your phone, not the line...
