It%26#39;s a telephone system that inmates use to call their loved one collect. I heard you can set up an account with them for about $50 a month. If this is true how many calls can you recieve for that amount and is it worth it or should i just continue to accept the collect calls instead?
Answers:
You only need to set up an account with them if you plan to receive calls on your cell phone. Collect calls to land-lines are billed by Evercom through your local land-line provider.
The minimum amount is $50, and they always charge a set-up fee of $8. Thus, the larger the amount you have them charge to your credit card to setup your account, the better for you.
Every 15 minute phone call is charged approximately $4.95. You need to contact Evercom to see what your balance is, otherwise your loved one won%26#39;t be able to reach you when the money runs out.
Any additional money left on your account when your loved one gets out can be refunded back to your credit card by going to Evercom%26#39;s website. https://www.correctionalbillingservices. yes, other calling card don%26#39;t work to call CI...its kinda expensive, and really not fair but, everyone wants to make money on the inmates and there families.
