How can i stop cold callers phoning my landline?

BT has a celler preference that stops them.. Don%26#39;t even be polite.. Hang up and ignore them.. put your phone number ex directory Google TPS registration, and they will get rid of all of them I used to be polite, but now there are so many that I just hang up. Rude I know , but they are invading my privacy and they seem to get more and more aggressive... TPS Register with the telephone preference service and go x-directory When they ask for you by name say hold on, I%26#39;ll just get him/her and then leave the phone off the hook and go back to what you were doing.

Or, tell them you%26#39;re in a council house, they won%26#39;t want to know you then cos they can%26#39;t sell you their double glazing etc! Register for the Telephone Preference Service (TPS)

It%26#39;s a fantastic service and stops all cold callers. Although you still might get a couple, and if you do, you need to make a note of the company name. IF they call again you can report them and they will be fined. TPS for definite used to work for a cold calling company (I know sorry but needed money!) - if you got caught you paid the fine so operators will not call these numbers! Find the Telephone Preference Service number or website %26 then register with them %26 they will take your numbers off their records %26 if you do get them again threaten them by telling them that you are on the TPS scheme %26 then they shouldnt contact you again.

Also put your phone ex directory.

You may get a few at the start but then tell them If you have number recognition on your phone its simple.If you dont recognise the number simply answer "Hello fraud squad".Trust me it works,well did for me anyway! Good luck! When These Companies call your home, Alert them at that time that you wish to be taken off of their calling list... in which they at that time are obligated by law to remove your phone number from their directory..

You may also contact your phone provider and ask them to block all private or solicated phone numbers...
