Yes there are loads of phones which offer a key lock feature. You can also ask your provider to set a PIN number on the line so you can only dial out when you know the PIN. This is also a lot cheaper than buying a new phone. Yes, my friend had this on her phone.
I dont know if it was a BT service or something else though. put it on a high shelf or put barbed wire around it or set an alarm which sets off and creates a noise only they can hear! it is gr8 That%26#39;s a symptom, the problem is your kids.
They have to be dealt with, to prevent this negative behavior. I believe you can also get a service that only allows it to be used in case of emergencies like to call 911 or the police and you cannot use it for regular calls, ask the phone company there is a bt service, you enter a pin on the keyboard before you can make a call.i have it on work phone. your provider should be able to do that. mychildren were the same but i was able to get a bar put on and was provided with a code to tap in. Cost about £3 per month but that was nothing to what i saved . If you are in the UK just dial 150 to get through to your provider and make the request. Really u should unplug it from the outside jack at night. Have u tried that one yet. I believe you can buy a pay phone, where you have to put money in to make a call, this used to work with my friend because she could only make calls if she had change and it was out of her own money. You can get certain numbers barred also, try ringing BT or your service provider and enquire into this or maybe the code unlocking you was talking about. you can get a code, but if they unplug and plug it back in the code has to be reset. had this problem for ever , in the end bought a cheap mobile for my own use and then got all mobile calls blocked, it cost very little but it is the only thing that works, Your telco can put a bar on such calls allowing the use of a pincode. Alternatively, you may try slightly more draconian measures, (removal of their limbs perhaps). If your local phone service is through Verizon, you can get a service called call gate. If I remember right, it is about $5/month. You have to use a code to dial out, but it does let you set up a limited number of allowed telephone numbers that can be dialed without the code.
