the phone company charged my home telephone account for a call that was received from a different number
Answers:
if you don%26#39;t have an computer online call-log, then you gotta what %26#39;till the paper bill comes in, and you can dispute the charges! If the call was received by you, and YOU were charged for it, you can call the phone company and discuss it. If it was a collect call, then you are responsible if you accepted that call... if you didn%26#39;t then no you aren%26#39;t.Either way, I would call and confront them about it. Collect call, operator assisted call, calling card call (calling card from your phone company), there are so many different types of calls they could bill you for that you may not even remember. Also if there was anyone in your home at the time, friends or family, they may deny it as well in fear of being in trouble.
Best thing to do is speak with your phone company and they will be able to clarify for you.
