My ouestion is why is MCI cause so much for inmate to call home to family?

i pay to phone bills verizon /MCI my husband to be is in indian creek correctional center inchesapeake va, i was told throught a person who work for verizon i should not haveto pay this way i had to set up billing with mci so he could call home they would not let the call come through verizon on my regular billing it is hard for me this way ton keep up.please do you have any advice to show me another way of this problem. Verizon bought out MCI when they went under a few years ago i say it is not fair some get regular billing other set up billing and MCI phones in most of va. correctional 13.00 for twenty minute if you mail 125-150 dollars they only can call up to 50.00 worth then they want more money .whats up with that it is to me a ripe off

You should start a federal Legislation Petition to stop unfair practices for fees incurred on Families of Inmates. I hear this all the time how they send their family members money or pay outrageous collect call fees. I have urged many people to start an online petition and also contacting Civil Rights groups like ACLU and such and also Humanist organization such as th American Humanist Association.

The inmates are serving their time for the crimes they committed. The families shouldn%26#39;t suffer with them.

Please consider this your calling and start this petition right away. E-mailing your Congressman and Senators and even County Commissioners on this matter will greatly help. because everybody wants to make money off the inmates and their families!!
