Can I get my home phone records to see who called my house?

I received a weird call last week, and wanted to see if I could call my phone carrier and request the information on who called me last Thursday evening (between a specified time).

**Is that possible or do I need some sort of police warrant for those records?

Thanks in advance!

You don%26#39;t need any kind of police warrant to get those records. I%26#39;m not sure if it%26#39;s the same rule for every phone company, but with AT%26T I had the same problem about a year ago and all I had to do was ask them for the phone records. Those records are very helpful because they let you know the number, date, time, and city of where either you received the phone call or made it towards.

Good luck! no its legal as long as its not blocked...we always get our phone call records at the end of the month just to see if were actually using like long distance and what not.as long as they didnt hit *67 You can ask your phone company! "Caller ID"! You can certainly call them for it. They should be mailing you a detailed report with every bill. If not, request that for future issues.

As a side note, caller ID is BS. Anyone can fake their name and number before calling. There are tons of websites that do it. It is no more reliable than an e-mail these days. I think that you would have to call the telephone company to get the records of who called you! It is hard to get those records...It is a lot easier to see who you called. Its frustrating but carriers usually can%26#39;t get incoming calls for you unless you order a special computer search which costs about 150.00 a day. That search can%26#39;t trace cell phones because they dont have reciprocity with cell phone carriers. AND whats worse is they dont guarentee there results with land lines either- something to do with switching stations. Bottom line, you pay your money and maybe you get a number. Every phone company is different. I know when I lived in Ohio my phone company just gave me the records I requested. They did because it was my account and I wanted to see who had be making crazy phone calls to my house also. My best advice would be to call them and see what you have to do to get the records and if you need some type of police warrant you can%26#39;t get one unless you get the calls all the time. They consider it harassment. I hope this helps. Caller ID, or if you don%26#39;t have caller ID, call and find out from your phone company if that is possible for them to provide that information for you. why didn%26#39;t you do a *69 after that call??
